Wire bendeing socket.. Bend any wire inside or out of an enclosure up to and beyond 350 MCM .
GREAT FOR WEATHER HEADS AND LBs !!!!!
USA Designed and Built to last in the USA
We have instituted PATENT procedures because of this copycat!
(I wounder why the idea thief, biash1947, dosn't guarantee his-Looks like no fath in his own product!)
The Yellow Dog is at it again! Stealing out orginal idea wasn’t enough for him. Now he has tried to copy our latest sockets and claims he heat treats them and call his "Industructable" ! ‘Tant so gang.
We bought one of his junk copies (actually 2, but that’s another story) and checked it for hardness, and chemistry. Without puting you through metallurgy 101 and strength of materials 098, here are the results.
Check out the picture of the Wrist Sav-R next to the biash1947 counterfit copy. The tongs of his cheap copy are mud soft and are 10 carbon mild steel at the most. That is simply not heat treatable at all. (unless you call getting it hot and burning you hand with it heat treating.)The chrome plating is undamaged and not discolored at all. All you motorcyclists can tell us what happens to hot exhaust pipes! His sockets have never seen the inside of a heat treat furnace. That’s it, No question!
After the hardness and chemistry tests I put a breaker bar on the biash1947copy and held it in a vice. Then I put a regular production Wrist Sav-R on standard Snap-on dial torque wrench and put our tongs over his on his.
Check the picture below and look what happened to his crap at only 80 foot pounds! I stopped bending his at 45 degrees because the Wrist Sav-R was slipping off his garbage or I could have turned his inside out. I know from experience that it can take well over 100 ft pounds to bend a tight 90 in 350 thousand THHN. What do you think will happen to you when you are on 20 foot extension ladder with his? Maybe you will be right down.
I am assuming you own a donkey, “Indestructible” your ass!!!
In contrast, If you take a Wrist Sav-R and hold it in a (Big) vice by one side of the tongs and then put a 48” pipe wrench on the other tong and try to bend it, it takes one hell of a lot of force, but like any heat treated alloy socket, IT WILL SNAP IN TWO. It will not bend! (Nothing is industructable)
Bottom line, His is not the same as ours and is completely inferior (Is there a reason his are not garunteed?)
An other quality product from Cheap Tricks.
WRIST SAV=R Wire Bending Socket
No cam out design- Mill spec Parkerized finish,
Even smaller then the orginal without any reduction in bending power .
It will fit in palces you could never use the Greenlee(TM) ratchet bender or the Klein(TM) tongs.
Our Wire Bending Socket. uses a 3/8” Ratchet (Not included) to bend any size wire to 500MCM. If you need more leverage just slip on a ½” adapter or even a ¾ “ adapter and put a pipe on the ratchet. These things can take it!!!!!
Use it singley or in pairs. Great for forming 3/0 and 4/0 at the weatherhead on 200 amp services!!!!!! Save yourself a ton of time and grief. I even use one to bend ½” steel threaded rod ! (Held in a vice of course- I ain’t King Kong you know) Don' try this with the counterfit copy unless youy want to spend several weeks with a cast on your hand.
Trixie says "It's worth it’s weight in swear words… Well it’s worth more then that ‘cause it don’t weigh much. Just check the picture of one of the guys bending a piece of copper 3/0 THHN right across from my desk. (I love a man with strong hands!!!) Get two and help prevent carpel tunnel and keep those strong hands of yours in good shape!”
Legal stuff: For use only by qualified persons as defined in NFPA 70 Art. 100 Definitions, and in any case, Not for use on live circuits!!!
Also watch for other products like the Mast=R adjustable holesaw and bit extension. and the Wrist Sav=RSR 1/2" wire bending socket.(a 25% larger version of our famous Wrist Sav=R
AGAIN. Don't get hurt or get one of your guys hurt with the thief's cheap Yellow or Black Painted armature imitation!
