Up for sale: LM3909 LED Flasher / Oscillator DIL package integrated circuit. Now sadly no longer manufactured, but a very well known circuit. These are all new old stock (NOS), and have never been used. Your purchase is for these chips only, an example is shown in the picture. Supplied on anti-static foam. Other components, e.g. LED's, capacitors etc, are not included, but I can supply them. This is an awesome chip, working down to 1V!! It was my first taste of electronics. Hooking up a chip, capacitor and led to a battery, then seeing it flash. See the datasheet here: LM3909.pdf I use a couple of these to deter burglars. I use a solar panel with a blocking diode to keep a small NiCd charged up. It has been running for years! The LM3909 is more than a simple LED flasher. Here are some other uses........ * Finding flashlights in the dark, or locating boat moorings, or as a path finder. * Sales and advertising gimmicks. * Emergency locators, for instance on fire extinguishers. * Electronic applications - trigger and saw tooth generators. * Low voltage operation, from just over 1V to 5V. * As an oscillator, it can drive an 8 ohm speaker Thank you for looking.
