This chick or chicken dish is a water dish used for the chicks, you fill the Ball Fruit Jar and put the clear dish over the top of the fruit jar and turn it over and the water releases as the chicks drink. The jar is marked with the number 8 with a line under it, and if you turn it the other way it looks like a number 100. Everything is in good clean condition with no damage. The pedestal part of the glass base to the dish is rough in spots from use, but that flaw does not detract from the use, or display of this item.
