-These are the easiest motor mounts out there for the CNC Hobbyist. Drill five holes in the end of your homemade linear actuator, bolt on your motor, plug in your 1/4" lead screw, double nut the screw on and you’re ready to go! Check out the third picture to see the assembly mounted on a hobby cnc type of set-up. -There is no real need to restrain the free end of the lead screw unless you’re running some fast speeds. It is easy to control screw whip if necessary, I can tell you how based on your application if necessary. -The main mounting plate is made of 1/2 thick industrial plastic. The two thrust bearings are radial ball bearings for smooth operation. When you tighten the motor on the mount it makes a nice light weight rigid assembly. -The overall size of this motor mount system is 2.5" x 3" x 4.62" long from end of motor (not all motors are the same length) to mounting face of plate. The mounting holes are (4) 9/32†diameter. They are located on 1.860" centers. -The mounts come with four lock washers and special motor mounting nuts for the stepper. -This sub-assembly can be used on all sorts of hobby CNC applications; CNC Router, Mill, PCB Drill, 4th Axis rotary tables, adjustable telescope mounts, etc... -STEPPER MOTOR & COUPLERS SHOWN ARE NOT INCLUDED. Please email me if you have any questions. I will answer any question about this assembly system for you to help with your application. (please look at our rules and privacy policy) |
