It is built to high U.S. military specifications to withstand battlefield conditions. A very sensitive HF receiver for the amateur radio enthusiasts. It tunes SSB and on AM! Frequency Range: continuously tuneable from 500 KHz to 32 MHz. Tubes: 25 total: 26A6 (x11), 26A7 (x1), 26C6 (x2), 26D6 (x1), 12AU7 (x5), 6AJ5 (x5) Sensitivity: 5 - 9 uV modulated; 2 - 3 uV CW. Circuit: triple conversion superhet to 8MHz then double conversion to 32MHz. 3 selectable bandwidths, AGC, BFO, Crystal calibrator The radio is quiet as it does not use noisy vibrators or dynamotors.
