The easiest way to tell if its the older or newer style is to either look at the spec plate or look at the bottom cast aluminum cylinder housing. If this housing is smooth, it is the older style Brute which this Brush Set is for. If the cylinder housing has ribs, then it is the newer style Brute so you will have to use kit #1617000425 which I also have for sale in my store.
