HERE IS THE SHALLENBERGER INTEGRATING WATT METER. THIS IS THE FIRST COMMERCIAL METER THAT ACTUALLY RECORDED THE AMOUNT OF ELECTRICITY THAT WAS USED. IT WAS MADE BY THE WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC AND MANUFACTURING CO. I BELIEVE THESE METERS WERE MADE FROM 1893 TO 1897. THIS ONE IS DATED 1895. THE METER IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND I BELIEVE IT IS VERY USABLE. THIS IS A GREAT PIECE FOR ANY COLLECTION OR PERSONAL USE. THE METER WEIGHS 41 POUNDS. SEE PICTURES
