(7) Sub-Miniature Amplified Microphones
LESS THAN 1/4 INCH IN DIAMETER
Internal FET pre-amplifier provides super sensitivity.
Response 80Hz - 20KHz+ (Suitable for ultra-sound applications to 40KHz).
Tinned ½ inch wires eliminate the risks of shorts and heat damage.
Ideal for use in wireless microphones and other portable equipment. If you already have a wireless microphone, compare it's microphone size and see if it is this small. My guess is - probably not; you may want to replace it.
* * Ultrasonic Detection to 40KHz
* Perfect for remote sound pickup when there is some distance between the microphone and sound source.
Wiring is easy for any qualified electronic technician. See a typical schematic below.
1. Ground the black/blue lead.
2. Connect the red lead to one end of a 27K ¼ watt resistor and a 1µF coupling capacitor.
3. Connect the free end of the resistor to + 5 to + 12 VDC. This powers the internal pre-amplifier to provide extreme sensitivity.
4. Connect the free end of the capacitor to the equipment 'Audio In' or 'Mic Input'.
External requirements are not critical. These microphones work perfectly with a wide range of resistor and voltage combinations from 10K-33K Ohms and +5 to +12 VDC. The coupling capacitor should be 0.1µF to 10µF @ 15V or more.
