Misty Knox is presenting: Ultra-max heavy radiant barrier insulation 2000 sq. ft.
2000 Square ft. of Ultra-Max Radiant Barrier Foil. Perforated Double-Sided - HEAVYWEIGHT - 24.6 pounds per/1000 square feet and 3mil thick. Be sure to compare different suppliers. I sell my heavyweight radiant barrier cheaper then they sell their midweight products. LOOK and read! Midweight Foils (fairly easy to tear) are in the 13-16 lb/1000 ft. range. The heavyweight (practically impossible to tear) foils are 23-25 lbs/1000 ft. If your installing this on the bottom of roof, you have to go with the heavyweight. Why? Fewer staples, faster installation, and the foil won't rip, sag and eventually fall down.

Understanding Radiant Barriers
It all starts with the Attic. Have you ever gone into your attic on a hot day? Did you know that the attic temperature in many homes can reach 150+ degrees? Ideally, there would be no difference between the OUTSIDE air temperature and the air temperature INSIDE your attic. What causes your attic to be so hot? The main thing is RADIANT HEAT GAIN.
THINK ABOUT THIS: On a hot Summer day would you rather have a Heavy Jacket (insulation) or an umbrella (radiant barrier)? Remember, It's the Radiant Heat that makes your home warm, not so much the temperature. This is why your home cools off quickly after the sun goes down even though the air temperature drops only a few degrees. Also, adding Ultra-Max Radiant Barrier Foil in an attic should be done in conjunction with Proper Attic Ventilation. I'm in attics every day, and virtually all of them have Ventilation Problems.
Heat ALWAYS moves from warmer to cooler environments. This is Newtons 2nd law of thermodynamics. Therefore, during the summer The Big Problem is really the HEAT GETTING IN and NOT THE COLD GETTING OUT. This is our specialty to BLOCK THE HEAT from entering your living space. This is what a Radiant Barrier does. We all know that foil helps keep food hot. It's the same principle with your home, except instead of keeping the heat "in" we want to keep the heat "out". Installing Ultra-Max Radiant Barrier Foil makes a HUGE difference on both Comfort and Savings!! Installing a Radiant Barrier in your attic is like making it a cloudy day EVERY DAY! Rooms will be more comfortable, your A/C will run less and more efficently. And, your attic and insulation will be cooler. Less heat gain means You Will SAVE MONEY on your electric bill.
Ultra-Max Radiant Barrier Foil - Specifications
This Radiant Barrier Foil is practically bullet-proof and tear-proof.
Why is this important? The main reason is Ease of Installation. You can use fewer staples for a faster installation. Plus, over time, the foil won't rip, and sag from wind bursts.
Not only do I sell Radiant Barrier, I've ACTUALLY installed it. I've spent many hours in attics. This is What I Do - Radiant Barrier, Attic Ventilation, and Insulation. Of all the products I've seen, the Ultra-Max Radiant Barrier Foil is the most durable and easiest to install. Only the BEST product! This is what I use and this is what I sell.

There are two generally accepted methods of installing Radiant Barrier Foil inside an attic. The first is directly on top of the insulation. This method works best in cold climates. In warm/hot regions I suggest stapling directly to the bottom of the roof rafters. Start along the bottom. Cut a long piece and run Across the rafters. (See Pictures) Secure on each rafter with a few staples. Repeat until you reach the top or ridge. Leave about 6" at the top for ventilaton and cut around vents and wind turbines. The other area to install Radiant Barrier Foil in on all attic sidewalls or kneewalls. These are walls that the BACKSIDE of the wall faces the attic cavity.
Note gap in top of ridge for proper ventilation.
48" Foil run across the rafters
Easy Installation with only a staple gun and utility knife.
Leave air gaps at top of each rafter run.
