The Drake SW2 is a table top receiver that covers all longwave, medium wave and shortwave frequencies. Single sideband is easily tuned with separate LSB and USB positions. When a shortwave signal does start to fade you can engage sideband selectable synchronous tuning to stabilize and improve the signal. Other refinements include: RF Gain, 100 Memories, Keypad Entry, Tuning Bar Graphs, 100 Hz LED readout and Dimmer. The back panel has provisions for dual antenna inputs accept either a PL-259 coaxial or wire feedline. A mini earphone and external speaker jack are provided. The optional remote control lets you operate this radio from across the room. Some information HERE. and a review HERE. Included is radio and 12V power adaptor, no remote control however. (Power adaptor is not the orginal but a small switcher. While for me it worked fine you may wish to find an analog replacement if you are having noise issues. These are found anywhere and at little cost.) Owned this radio for awhile and enjoyed it's simple effective operation, a great all around general coverage radio.
