The Model GX-82 personal three-way gas alarm is a portable, automatic microprocessor-controlled instrument and it is available in either of two gas detection combinations. One combination detects for combustibles, oxygen deficiency and carbon monoxide and the other for combustibles, oxygen deficiency and hydrogen sulfide. As a personal instrument it may be carried by means of a belt loop or a shoulder strap, leaving hands free for normal work. It is fully automatic, and it gives a characteristic warning signal when an alarm state exist. It can detect and indicate combustible concentrations up to the loer explosive limit, carbon monoxide (CO) concentrations up to 300ppm or hydrogen sulfide (H2S) concentrations up to 80 ppm, and it also analyzes for oxygen (02) over a range of 0 to 25%. When preset levels of oxygen deficiency or presence of combutible, CO or H2S gas are detected, it will give characteristic warnings. If for any reason the oxygen concentration should exceed the high-level setting (usually 25%), an alarm is given to warn of potential fire hazard. This instrument also contains a special microprocessor program which will present at any time the average of the hydrogen sulfide or carbon monoxide exposure accumulated since the time the instrument was last turned on. After the ON switch is pressed and the preliminary cycle is complete, the program will collect and store the exposure to H2S/CO. Each time an exposure occurs, it is added to all previous exposyres. When the display command is given, the program will divide the stored accumulation by the elapsed time, and the display will show the time-weighted average in PPM H2S/CO, as well as the elapsed time. Instruments sold prior to January 1986 do not have the accumulator program unless they have been factory updated. This is a used but in good condition GasTech GX-82 portable gas detector. The machine has a note stating the unit was tested and did power-on but either drained the batteries quickly or powered-off intermittingly, we did not personally test this unit and no sensors are included in this sale with only what is pictured will be included in this sale.
