The 8660C Synthesized Signal Generator mainframe utilizes a wide range of available plug-ins to make up a complete Signal Generator System (plug-ins included with this unit 86603A/002 & 86632B). Offers direct keyboard entry of CW frequencies. Increased performance capabilities over the 8660A including digital sweep, frequency stepping, control of frequency with a tuning knob, and a ten-digit numerical display. Auto, Single, or manual digital sweep is available with selectable speeds of 0.1, 1, or 50 seconds. These signal generators feature direct keyboard entry of CW output frequencies,10kHz to 2600MHz (plug-in dependent, sold separately), synthesizer stability and accuracy, 1Hz resolution (2Hz above 1300MHz), calibrated output over >140 dB range, AM, FM, FM, or Pulse Modulation, and they are fully TTL programmable. This unit includes one HP 86633B CW, AM, and FM modulation plug-in, one HP 86635A FM / Phase Modulation plug-in, and one HP 86601A RF (.01 – 110 MHz.) plug-in. Options include 001, 005, and 100 (Frequency Extension Module to 2.6 GHz.). In addition, one HP-IB cable adaptor W/08660-60187 is included for direct connection to the HP-IB bus. This unit is missing the “SWEEP WIDTH†button and actuating pin, but the switch inside works fine. The manual “SWEEP / TUNE†knob does not function at all. All modulation modes are functional, frequency and amplitudes are within acceptable toelerances, and AUTO SWEEP and SINGLE SWEEP functions work fine. It is guranteed this way and will not be DOA.
