The rotary table presented here is apulled from Nikon Wafer Inspection machinary and thus is very precise and at the same time rugged and stirdy, I could not feel any backlash either, but you need to test it yourself for spec. The main plate is about 4.75" x 7.25". The dimensions of the bigger gear are 2.25" OD and 1.5" ID. The three holes on the bigger gear are threaded, these holes could be used to attach a tooling plate or chuck if you wish. The tapped holes are metric, I will add a few matching metric screws for mounting too. The shaft of the small gear is 6mm, please see the last picture and desciption in this page for the optional coupling, bracket and DC motor. And a closer look at the gears: The gears are mounted on a piese of thick aluminum plate. The smaller gear is mounted with the mounting brackets and the bigger one is mounted directly to the plate. Here is the view from the bottom.
