Great Antenna picks up all signals and makes your scanner come alive.
You will not find these antenna's for sale by any other company.
These are machined out of Aluminum 3/8 Rod, and the boom is machined out of bar PVC, not Water Pipe PVC.
We live in a very low area with alot of high frequency traffic. We have cell towers, airport, AM Radio station, all within several blocks. I purposely put the first unit on a small wooden mop handle and used it portable in my back yard. I was amazed, I picked up the Weather Channels 162.450 and 162.475, 162.55 all are well over 50 miles from my home. I was also able to pick up 806 MHZ through 900 MHZ. Of course the 400 MHZ band was very good. I believe this is the answer to your needs. I picked up 453.625 frequency from a small town 53 miles away. It was their emergency response team. That was with the antenna on a wooden handle and sitting on my deck.
As far as 2 Meter Ham, not a problem either. This antenna is an exceptional receive antenna. NOT FOR TRANSMITTING!!!!
I was testing for a few days and found it exceeds my expectations of an antenna for my scanner.Excellent range indoors and I have to put her on the roof yet. Thanks
I tested this antenna for several days on a 10ft mast just wired to my chain link fence. It was amazing. Now it is going on top of my 40 foot mast. I cannot wait until I see the results.
“Byron went out of his way to ensure that the antenna arrived safely. I was impressed by the rugged construction and attention to detail – the little guy really worked from 150 to 800 Mhz as advertised, allowing me to hear trunked signals from 75 miles away on 856 Mhz”
Packaged arrived, and I had the antenna up and running in less than 30 minutes. I am so happy. I wondered also what can this small antenna do for my Bearcat Digital Scanner. Wow, Wow, what can I say but Wow.
You have done your homework. Anyone wanting a great antenna, look no further.
I put one in my attic, it works wonderful.
I painted mine to look like art, screwed it into the side of my house. We live in a place with no antennas.
We live in an apartment building in New York on the third floor. I just mounted it on an old lamp stand. Wonderful pickup, and friends wonder what it is.
Wow, neat antenna. I put it on a short piece of pipe and a tripod. I take it with me down to the cabin by the lake.
I gotta say I was a little leery when I opened the package and saw that
little bitty antenna. I had it up on the 35ft tower in (as you said) 30 minutes. Got the ole scanner connected and man......This little bad boy performs awesome! Great coverage from 155mhz to 956mhz. Have not yet tried lower or higher freq's yet but I am totally impressed and satisfied with this little bad boy. You have done a great job on reception. Performance is the key issue and buddy you
Thanks Again Byron for an awesome antenna! Good luck on future sales!
