This produces roughly 15,000 board feet of foam insulation with an R value of 3.7 per inch.
We have a 1.5 pound closed cell foam that produces roughly 5,000 board feet of foam insulation with an R value of 5.8 per inch or a 1.9# that yealds 4,000 bdft with an r-7 per inch, for the same price per drum-set .
A board foot is a standard lumber measurement that has been used for many years and is still used by the hardwood lumber indrustry, a board foot measures 12x12x1 inches. The easy way to est. the number of board feet needed is to measure the total square feet of the walls that you need insulated ( do not subtractdoors, windows, studs) then mutilply that by the thickness of the insulation required. You can then subtract 10% for openings.
