The UFX-BER 2442/5880 can be used to test bit error rate performance and receiver sensitivity in the popular 2.4 GHz and 5.8GHz ISM bands. Systems operating in these bands include WiMax, WiFi, HomeRF, Bluetooth, HiperLAN, cordless phones and others. The UFX-BER adds a precise quantity of noise to a signal generated externally or can function as a very accurate stand alone noise source or power meter. Output carrier power, noise power, carrier to noise ratio, Eb/No and carrier to interferor ratios can be set via the front panel control or via the GPIB interface. The unit appears to calibrate and operate properly.
