5207&5208 Phase Lock-In Amplifier Manual !!!
The EG&G 5207/5208 Lock-In Amplifier is a computer-controllable one(/two)phase unit and represents a cost effective solution to your measurements problems in production line or laboratory. Integral RS232C and GPIB (IEEE-488) interfaces allow total programmability. Computer-controllable functions include sensitivity, averaging, time constant, phase, operating frequency, offset, dynamic reserve, display mode, etc. Other standard features including auto-phasing, auto-ranging, and "sine-wave" response bring the power, flexibility and ease of operation for the end user.
Typically, the signal to be measured is made to appear at a reference frequency. The signal is then amplified and applied to a phase-sensitive detector, the result is a detector output that includes a value representing the amplitude of the signal of interest as well as ac components that maybe due to noise and interference. The ac resulting from the noise is then reduced to any arbitrary degree by low-pass filters under user control.
▪ Sensitivity of 1 µV to 5 V rms
â–ª Input Impedance of 100 Mohms shunted by 40 pF
â–ª Input modes of single-ended and differential (A-B)
â–ª Frequency range of 5Hz to 200kHz in 3 ranges
