ONE DOZEN CHICKEN HATCHING EGGS Twelve Plymouth Barred Rock Hatching Eggs PLUS FREE INSTRUCTION SHEET FOR HATCHING EGGS AND RAISING BABY POULTRY · Developed in America in the Mid-19th Century · First exhibited as a breed in 1869 · Outstanding Dual Purpose Farm chicken · Excellent Production of Both Eggs and Meat Plymouth Rocks are a good general farm chicken. They are docile, & normally will show broodiness. Their black and white bars are extremely striking, and may take on a golden tint with exposure to the sun. They are good cold-weather chickens and also do well in the Texas heat. They lay a nice sized brown egg, and I have found mine to be very consistent with their laying. Barred Rocks possess a long broad back, a moderately deep full breast, and a single comb of moderate size. They usually make good mothers. Their feathers are fairly loosely held but not so long as to easily tangle. WE TAKE CARE TO BE SURE OUR BARRED-ROCKS ARE KEPT SEPARATE FROM OUR OTHER CHICKENS, ARE FED FINE FEED, AND PROVIDED WITH WHAT THEY NEED TO REMAIN HEALTHY.
