Hello Welcome to Spanky's Sales,
This is an all aluminum antenna so placement around powerlines must be carefully thought out. I have this on a 30 foot push-up pole and have talked "bare foot" rci 2995(also up for sale) from TN to West side Washington State, and to New jersey. This antenna and produced a dynamic increase in distance and modulation over Imax and A-99 (which are prettymuch the most common CB Omni antennas). I bought this V-5000 not to run the max wattage thru it which is 5000 watts, but I live on a hill that sees good amounts of wind( it has brought 2 antrons down) and a friend let me help put up his, and another friend his normal V-5/8. I saw and felt a GREAT difference with the thickness of stock aluminum used in the 2 maco antennas. It has been in line only with RCI 2995 (135w swing) with 54' of big RG-8U with a dead on 1:1 SWR.
This one has the markings on it for maximum performance setting to the 26-28 mhz CB band but by changing the final vertical radial and adjustment of tunning ring above the base can do just as well on other freqs.
