Hat size - 7 1/4 (per chart below) I've grown up in a family of welders of all ages and I've seen these hats all my life. Good ones and yes...the crappy ugly ones too (HAHA). We've made some nice hats here and they are quite popular. We've been told it's difficult to find hats that are made as well as ours. My father takes a bag of these hats out to the pipeline jobs he goes to and it's not long before he's asking if we have any more ready to go as he's sold them all. We've found it's not just welders who like these hats (for extra protection against sparks and to absorb sweat), these hats are ideal for anyone who wants an absorbent yet light weight cap. Many people that we've sold these hats to use them as paint protectors, helmet liners (construction workers, cyclists, bikers & so on) or for simple every day ware. The hats we make are washable with the rest of your laundry & do not loose their form when washed. They fold down to a compact size for easy storage (or to hide away as a spare). These hats ware very well & end up like a favorite pair of jeans that you like wearing. Description of the hats we make We use choice fabrics of different weights and that have popular prints & we try to offer a plain fabric for those who like a plainer hat. There are no raw edges in these hats and they are double sewn so they stay together. These are 6 panel hats that in our experience - fit better on your head. The bill is always reinforced with denim and the average length of 2.5" - 3". The rise of the hat is an average of 6 3/4" - 7 1/4" (from the top of the crown to the bottom of the band of the hat) for easy ware and movement. Option A) Take your favorite hat and lay it down so that the band of the hat lays flat. Measure the band of the hat in inches & multiply it by 2, see the sizing chart below to determine your hat size Option B) Take a fabric measuring tape - or a length of string and wrap it level around your head (please do not pull it tight - think of how you would like your hat to sit on your head – please make sure the string sits just above your brow line & right where your ears meet your head as this is where your hat will sit) if using a measuring tape - read your measurement in inches - if using a string - measure the length of string in inches, see the sizing chart below to determine your hat size Measurement in Inches = Hat size All of my items are of a smoke free pet free home.
