This is the back half of a 9N tractor I took apart last summer to rebuild the motor in. I think it is a 1940. I found out the block was cracked, so I stripped parts off it to rebuild another 9N I have. I used this tractor quite a bit before I tore it down, and the hydraulic pump and three point lift worked fine. The pins where the lift arms attach are loose like they all seem to be, and need to be tightened up to make it stop leaking. The of the arms on the lift must have broke at one time because it has been welded. They did a pretty ugly job of it but it's held. The transmission has the early straight toothed input and countershaft gears, and it had a gear mesh noise when going up a hill or under a load. It still shifted fine and all the gears worked. I kept it covered up with plastic so their not rusted. Both of the fenders are original. Their still solid and usable, but both have a rust hole about the size of a quarter towards the bottom. They also have some dents in them, but I have fixed a lot worse. Both brakes still worked. The rims are rusted out and the tires are junk but they both go with it. Please look carefully at the photos because what you see is what you get. Nothing else goes with it.
