This was bought from Wellcott Radio at Christmas and used till now. It does Extreamely well when paired with Maco V-5000 and 54' rg-8u ( the big stuff NO MINI). Has been PEAKed and TUNEd, Multicolored led fans(2) on the stinger's heatsink( are removable w/ plug and play rca jack @ rear), Clairifier unlocked and DEAD ON. On the Face: ALL KNOB Selectors And POTENTIOMETERS= SWR calibration/ foward/Reverse power, Rf power 0-100( deadkey is pretty close to number scale), RF gain(ears like a bat), Mic Gain, Large Center Knob is Channel Selector, Clarifier +-, Squelch, Volume, FM,AM,USB,LSB,CW,PA, Large stereo Head phone jack, Push button power, and a red "ON AIR" led. Has Digital frequency read out, Signal/ Modulation Meter, SWR calibration/ foward and reverse power Meter. The buttons are as followed: Nb/Anl(Recieve Filters), Rodger Beep On/off, Split Frequency( tansmit on one and recieve on another( as wide as you want it)),Program, Manual freq. display( let you see freq.6 digits or change bands, Shift key( to shift from khz to mhz fine tuning 6 digit movement), push button up or down( when you dont want to rotate the channel selector knob), Dimmer for display backlighting 3 different settings, Swr circuit (push when you want to see SWR in left meter),Super Scan( one touch scan memory presets or the entire band and using shift key can adjust how big of scan steps(all 6 digits can scan), Memory( Has 10 presets that can be programed for you favorites), Enter (when programing), Lock ( to lock in a set point)..... On the rear: 1 so239 out, Freq counter RCA, 12v power RCA(fans), Power cord, Fuse, and switch to disable finals when running power amplifiers (never needed to use, never ever needed to run on ssb or am, but is there.) The unit is Rackable with removable handles for desktop display, 6pin female mic socket, original channel selector hand mic comes with. BUT, DOES come with a newly rebuilt D-104( Base and side mounted PTT used with "pecker" mod for transistor radios, and the Head and Crystal bought New about 3 months ago.
