Gas and Oil Engines Books Part I and II, prepared by the American School, 1925. Excellent literature on engines of the day both internal and external. Beautiful examples filled with text, illustrations, photos and graphs. The first part deals with external and internal engine operation from the theoretical side. The theory and efficency of various fuels are discussed. Components of farm engines, automotive and steam are highlighted. Part II deals more with modern internal combustion engines of the day. Empahsis on Otto's, diesels, aircraft and heavy oil engines. Excellent addition to any serious collection of literature pertaining to IC engines. These books were intended for class instruction and testing. A total of over 174 pages are included between both books.
Both books are to be sold as one, they measure 5.5" x 8.25". No pages are torn or missing with only slight tanning. Bindings on both books are poor to fair with serious wear. None of the pages are loose. Books are used and show wear.
