Connect the Pro48 to the clock output to quickly verify 24 volt output. Or connect the Pro48 to the solenoid or the wires leading to it to activate the solenoid and hold it open or to make the solenoid chatter to identify lost solenoids. Chatter is the opening and closing of the solenoid, making it click repeatedly. A contractor then walks the area of the lost valve and listens for the click to locate the lost solenoid. The Pro48 also checks wires for shorts and opens and send a tracing tone or signal that can be picked up by the included Pro200 tone probe. In this way, wires can be individually identified at their termination point. For less than $140, all of these handy features can be yours. The Pro48 requires 2 9v batteries for operation and the Pro200 tone probe requires one. Works with all common landscape solenoids and clocks including Toro, Rainbird, Hunter, Irritrol, Weathermatic, Nelson, Perrot, DIG, K-Rain, etc. The Pro48 and Pro200 are also CE approved for European use.
