Easy to use...just attach your handheld antenna to the mount and pop on top of your vehicle. Magnet is "Rare Earth", very strong! Comes with 8' RG174 coax cable (small to avoid kinks when door shuts). Cable has a male BNC with gold pin which attaches to your HT. The magnet has a protective felt covering underneath..won't scratch your car. This is a nice item to pack in the suit case when traveling and easy to pop on a rental car.
