Miser WinterGard is an energy efficient in-pipe heating cable for freeze protection of insulated plastic potable water lines. It is a tough mineral insulated heating cable, and includes cord and plug for ease of installation. The kit includes an electronic controller with built-in ground fault interrupter (GFI). For use with either 1-inch or 1 1/4-inch plastic pipe. This cable runs inside the water line for maximum efficiency and economy. All fittings, controller, installation instructions included. Tools required for installation: Pipe wrench to tighten nuts on tee fitting Approx 5 feet strong string or cord A drill with appropriate bits for opening hole in outside wall to allow insulated pipe and temperature sensor to pass through This kit is new in the box; opened only for photos, never installed.
