The charger will also work with the Ashtech Z-Surveyor GPS receiver. The battery may also work with the Ashtech Z-Extreme GPS receiver and the equivalent Sokkia product as well as with other GPS equipment manufactured by Trimble, Novatel, Magellan, Thales, Topcon, Leica. This item is new in the box. This item was not manufactured by or for Sokkia or Ashtech. It is a third-party after-market item, but works very well for the intended application. The battery is a 4000 mAH Ni-MH 12-volt battery. It is the "smart" variety. It does include the on-board charge indicator gauge. It has been verified to work in a GSR2300 GPS receiver.
