I have performed the following checks on the meter: * Visual inspection of battery compartment - no signs of leakage * Replaced both batteries with new batteries (D cell and 9 volt) * Visual inspection of circuit board for burns or damage - appears in like new condition * Checked both fuses and verified they are good * Checked AC voltage on 120V household voltage * Checked DC voltage on batteries * Checked to make sure that the ohms pot is good and the Ohms scale can be Zeroed To the best of my knowledge this is a perfect working meter. This is an incredible unit for the serious techie with features like mirrored dial (eliminates parallax), overload protection, and many scales of AC, DC, and Resistance metering.
