I ride motorbikes, cycle, snowboard, climb, & airsoft. I explained this to the helpful people at Show Comms, who steered me in the direction of the modular. It arived the next day, (as agreed) & I tried it on. It is very light & due to it's adustability fits like a dream. As soon as it is adjusted correctly you don't notice you are wearing it. The Modular has several options for both ear pieces & tx/rx activation. I opted for the Modular Ear Piece (which is comfortable, clear & stays in.) & the Lapel Modular ptt (which is small enough not to get in the way, but a good enough size to locate & activate without having to visually search for it.) I have now used this kit along with my motorola on my mountain bike, whilst climbing & airsoft skirmishing. It is light, comfortable & compact. Comms are clear & it has not impared my movement during any of these activities. Airsofting (kind of Paintball on steroids) involves a lot of phisical activity, running, jumping etc. As yet the kit has been great, nothing has worked loose or fallen off/out, under the harshest of conditions. I can understand why the special forces opt for this sort of rig. The handsfree voice activation is a real bonus for both the climbing (to let your belay partner know what to do, without shouting or letting go!) & cycling (keeping in contact with your trail buddies without having to stop.).
