Learn How to Run Three Phase Motors Most people think they know how to do this but are you doing it; Efficiently? Conveniently? Quietly? A number of years ago I came up with a unique way to do this. It's called the transformer method. I wrote a book on how to do it but then decided to make a video so people could really see how it works and what's involved in making this type of converter. I also came up with some new ideas on how to make your own transformer. This way some people might want to go that route if they can't find a surplus power transformer. If someone tells you this doesn't work just go and watch the clips. Seeing is believing. Rotary converters are inefficient and noisy. They also have to be turned on before you can use your machine. This means you run back and forth all day, or leave it running thereby wasting electricity. The transformer method can run more that one motor. It does not make a lot of noise and does not waste electricity. It also provides full power starts. The voltages in these converters can kill. The capacitors can hold a charge, even overnight. You need to have a working knowledge of wiring and the dangers of high voltages to safely build a converter. If you don't have the experience find a friend or hire someone.
