This crystal detector is made by Aercom, type 4351R, probably a tunnel diode type, maybe a zero bias Schottky (cant look it up yet, my catalogs still packed from moving). Interestingly enough, although a positive type output, the crystal cartridge is field replaceable and reversable, allowing you to flip the polarity. SMA in/out, requires a DC return on input, like from the load on the coupled arm of a directional coupler, I used a 3 dB pad for testing. I did not use a video load for all testing, but found a 1 K ohm load worked nicely. Basic frequency range was 2-20 GHz for outputs from +.47 to +.80 V, no video load. Output useful down to 1 MHz. Unit shown was charted. I have several so you will have to chart your own, I will test all for operation. Nice for leveling loop, sweep detector, power monitor, wideband mixer (no internal loads to limit frequency response, so would work as harmonic mixer), and so on. Have fun.
