AC Leakage Current Tester with Hi-Pot
The BEST tester available for electrical repair. If you must verify the safety and performance of electrical products you will not find a better value. Tests products for short circuits, continuity of the ground wire, hi-pot, leakage current and current draw. The Model 352 Short Stop Tester is in use by thousands of electrical repair shops, and manufacturers - Black and Decker, SB Power Tool, Makita USA, Milwaukee Electric Tool and Monsanto Corp.
All 120V tools in common use can be tested.
Tests for both line-to-line and line-to-case shorts.
A built-in extension cord tester checks polarity, continuity and ground wire resistance.
The quality as well as the continuity of the ground wire is measured. Poor quality ground connections are rejected.
Multi-scale ammeter reads the current drawn by tool or appliance. This helps identify defective bearings or gear trains, shorted coils, or poor brush contact.
Displays actual leakage current (potential shock hazard) with good, marginal and danger levels clearly shown.
Tests the dielectric strength of the tool or appliance with selected voltage. Excessive leakage or dielectric flash over causes automatic shut down.
Five push buttons sequence the product through the tests specified by Underwriters Laboratories and the Canadian Standards Association.
For medical applications see option 40311
Designed to test 120V metal-cased and double insulated tools and appliances drawing up to 20A.
Continuity lamp verifies resistance through the ground wire.
Rejects line impedance of less than three ohms.
Rejects fault currents in excess of ten milliamps.
Conforms to American National Standard C101.1, 1973 as recommended by Underwriters Laboratories. Non linear circuit displays actual leakage current over scale of 0.1 to 10 milliamps.
Test voltage of 0-2500V AC, continuously adjustable. Automatic fault detector and self-limiting power source protect the operator. Fault detector adjustable from one to five milliamps. Complies with UL's 120K requirement.
Provides a built-in reference for self-verification.
NEMA 5-20R, 120V, 15/20A, nonlocking.
