Click here to browse other portables in our store. Please note that items may not be in the same area. This portable classroom was manufactured by Modtech, Inc in 1992. The overall size is 24' x 40'. It is approx. 960 square feet. This building splits into two 12' x 40' sections for removal. Ramps shown in photo's are included. This Portable Classroom is known as #P3 at Caswell School. The classroom has it's own self contained electrically operated HVAC unit which is mounted on the opposite end of the classroom unit from the doorway. Duct work is contained inside the T-bar dropped ceiling. One vent is in the same wall where the actual HVAV unit is mounted on the exterior wall. Exterior view of front of portable classroom. (ISID: 4079) These numbers appear on the 2 data plates attached to the classroom units. The door unit is S/N: 9480 with matching unit S/N: 9481 Date built: 6-92 on both plates. Plates share the following data: OLA # 30772, OSA APPL. No. A 56013 The following standards come from the data plates: Roof Load rated at: 20, Floor Load rated at: 50 and Wind load rated at: 75 All metal ramp, landing and metal hand rails. The ramp and landing are a 2 piece unit that separates at the ramp / landing intersection. Ramp measures: 12'-0" long by 4'-0" wide. The landing at the doorway measures: 5'-0" out from the bldg. x 6'-0" long. Metal handrails are: 32" tall. Each unit has 6 standard 2'-0" x 4'-0" recessed florescent lighting fixtures in the ceiling for a total of 12 in the classroom. Each of these fixtures are 4 tube design. Exterior siding is similar to T-111 siding with grooves 8" o/c. The entrance end of the classroom has a 5'-0" overhang the width of the two classroom units to shed rain off the ramp and landing. Entry door (One door only) is a 3'-0" x 6'-8' all metal door. Each of the 2 units have a single 8'-0" wide x 3'-10" aluminum Thermal Pane tempered safety glass window with two 2'-0" wide sliders (1 at each end of the window). This gives the classroom 2 windows one at each end of the classroom on opposite corners. All glass is in good condition The units have full facia style gutters the length of the side of unit with a downspout at each end of the gutter. This gives each classroom 4 downspouts. Electrical: 120v/240v - 100amp max. Breakers: 1 - 100amp main, 1 - 60 amp, 5 -20amp The classroom has 2 lighting circuits, 2 receptacle circuits, 1 HVAC circuit and 1 spare circuit. HVAC unit is controlled by a thermostat mounted on the wall near the circuit breaker panel. Unit #1 - 39'-10" length, Unit #2 - 39'-10" length Unit #1 - 12'-0" width, Unit #2 - 12'-0" width Unit #1 - 11'-7" at ridge line, Unit #2 - 11'-7" at ridge line Unit #1 - 11'-0" at perimeter eve which has no overhang. Unit #2 - 11'-0" at perimeter eve which has no overhang. The units finished floor is approximately 12" above the ground that it rests on. Exterior color: Grey walls with dark red trim. Interior color: Ivory/Beige with a 4" brown rubber cove base at the carpet for trim. These 2 units are in good usable condition. Being a typical portable school classroom, it does have normal expected wear and tear. The carpeting that was actually see able looked in pretty good condition. With the classroom almost completely full of stored school desks at inventory time, the carpet in 85% of the classroom could not be seen. It is unknown if there are tears, rips or holes in it. What can be seen does show some age but does not appear to have a lot of staining. The acoustic ceiling tiles are intact, but do show discoloration from age or newer panels have been added over time.
