You are viewing an original John Deere brochure from 1926 for the John Deere Spike Tooth Harrows and Harrow Cart. The number this piece is Series No.A28-Plow Works-1926. It is in good condition for it's age, measures 4" x 9" closed when opened up measures 9" x 16" andhas a total of 8 pages. The front cover shows a large spike tooth and near the bottom a picture of a farmer with a team of four horses pulling the spike tooth harrow. It gives all the information on the following: The John Deer Ajax Ateel Lever Harrow, the John Deere Ajax Special Harrow, The John Deere Universal Steel Lever Harrow, The John Deere All Steel Harrow, The John Deere Felxible Pipe-Bar Harrow, The John Deere Wood-Bar Square End Harrow and the John Deere no.4 Harrow Cart. Each of the above are pictured in this brochure. On the last page when this is folded for mailing purposes there is a place to address it and the return address section is stamped W.L.L. Spencer Dealer in All Kinds of Farm Machinery Columbia, Conn Tel 133-4. Also listed on this same page is a complete list of John Deere Factories and what they make. And of course the literature does sport the old John Deere Deere logo. The outside edge does have some small chuncks of paper missing, but does not interfere with it's readability. When it is opened up fully the front and back cover at the fold is torn part way up but the interior pages are not. The staples are a tad bit rusted. Even though it is not a perfect piece i am sure there are not too many of these around, so i am sure someone would like to ad this to their John Deere History Collection.
