Dynatup General Research Corporation Description The Dynatup 8250 is a drop weight impact test tower. The machine can test the impact characteristics of an extensive variety of materials and components over a wide range of impact velocities. Data from these tests can then be used in the evaluation of material or component performance. Non-ambient impact testing is possible through use of an incorporated environmental chamber. Operating range Impact Energy: 0.6 to 303 Joules (gravity driven); 16.2 to 840 Joules (pneumatically assisted) Impact Velocity: 1 to 3.66 m/sec (gravity driven); 3.66 to 13.41 m/sec (pneumatically assisted) Load Range: 5, 10, 25, 50, 75, 100 lbs Application multi-axial impact properties: load and energy vs. deflection high speed flexural properties of plastics and high speed compressive properties of foams.
