This 3 Piece set was purchased from a retired Army gentleman in Oklahoma. The first 'tapper' is black with a matte finish and measures 5" X 3 1/2". The second 'tapper' is brown, measures 7" X 2 1/2", has a light on one end and the morse code alphabet printed on it. The Wooden Box does not have Army written anywhere on it. It does have an opaque glass lens on one end so the light signal can be seen. This would be a functional unit, best I can tell. IF I knew how it worked!. It fits nicely in the wooden box for storage.
