This unique gauge/tool is made by Standco. This unit reads engine rpm and pump rpm as well as vibrations per minute of just about anything that rotates. Works good on diesel engines, gear pumps, pressure compensated pumps and all hydrostatic drives. It is vibrations sensitive and is very accurate. It comes two pages of front and back directions and examples on how to use for different sitations. Basically you set the tool on or near the pump, engine. etc and watch the gauge where it stabilizes. It differentiates between the amplitude of the maximum and minumum. It takes a little getting use to but it is easy to use with no electric connections on the injector pump or using an expensive accelerometer. It is accurate for what it is and works good. This was a spare. I used the first one for 20 years and always worked good. This one was used only a few times and is like new. A must for any off road equipment mechanic. Cost over 300.00 when new at high priced equipment dealer. Reserve is 18.00
