In 1947-1948 my father’s highway construction company rebuilt a section of US-33 in Logan County, Ohio through the towns of Lakeview and Russells Point. This steel-wheeled “TOURNACRANE†is cable operated, hooked to a CAT D-7 equipped with LeTourneau bulldozer and a LeTourneau rear CCU/Cable Control Unit. The original vintage photo was taken by REX, a Peoria, Illinois based photographer, most likely working for the R. G. LeTourneau Company. This is a mint quality reproduction photo, enlarged from an original professional 3x5 print, and professionally printed on quality Kodak or Fujifilm paper, in perfect condition.
