Offered here is a working Function Generator built from a kit by Dick Smith Electronics. It has served me well for hobby electronics projects. Square wave is nice and clean but sine and triangle waves have some distortion. Dick Smith electronics was an interesting outfit from Australia, while Dick Smith was in charge and they were trying to expand into the US. They had one of those catalogs that was entertaining to read and were expanding into the kit business. This was one of the offerings from that time. For this kit, the US version, time base is crystal controlled because the Australian version used the 50 Hz power line reference. (please look at our rules and privacy policy) |
