The Electro Bear Guard is a portable electric fence kit. The kit contains every thing that is needed to install 1 or 2 fence segments totaling up to 3300 sq. feet. These kits can protect any personal property like air planes, boats, camps, 4 wheelers, game kill sites, meat pole sites, food cash, you name it this system will protect it from all species of bears. The posts are plastic 4’ long post that have the wire clips built in to the post and have a steel spike on the bottom to penetrate into the ground. The post is installed in the ground by stepping on a foot peg on the side of the post. The wire is a polytape ½†wide and has conductive wires weaved into it, 2 tape strands are needed per fence segment. The Charger (energizer) is operated on D cell batteries and will last for 2 months of continues service. This charger, even though small and uses D cell batteries, is very effective on bears as they have a very sensitive nose. These units have been field test by Tom Smith (a bear biologist with the USGS) for the past 12 years and Tom is 100% satisfied with these units. (please look at our rules and privacy policy) |
