Catalog no.2127when used with appropiate equipment provides a means of automatic counting, timing,or controlling. A light source and cadium sulfide photocell are mounted in a 9X9X15cm metal casewith circuitry for activating a built-in relay whenever the emitted light beam is reflected by some external object back onto the photocell.Operation is from 115volts Ac, 50/60 hz. The light source and the photocell are located in the rear of the case. Any white surface 8 to 10 cm from the apertures will reflect enough light to activate the cell. Surfaces of higher reflectivity can be located farther away. An on-off switch, a sensitivity adjustment, and a circuit connection diagram are also located on the front of the case.The upper black binding post and the red binding post furnish a normally-closed switch. The photcell can also be activated by an external light source directed at the cell aperture, thereby providing a variety of additional applications limited only by the ingenuity of the user. A spring clamp on the side of the case fits a 13mmsupport rod (not supplied), providing a convenient means of mounting and adjusting the control to optimum position.
