Will fit any Ford tractor from 1953 to 1964 This came to me with a collection of loose Ford Tractor parts. It bolts to the right side of the engine block and holds the coil in place. It fits any Ford tractor with gas engine from 1953 to 1964. Here's a tip: todays round coils seem to be a bit skinnier than the old ones. If you try to tighten this clamp around a new coil, you will run out of adjustment space before it holds the coil tight. If you continue to tighten the strap, you will break it. Ask me how I know. If you have found this out the hard way, too, here's a chance to replace your old broken clamp. Now, here's the tip: cut a strip of rubber from an old inner tube. Wrap it around the coil where this strap holds it. It will allow you to cinch down on the coil without breaking the clamp! (please look at our rules and privacy policy) |
