I'm not one to believe in paranormal activity, however, this camera has been used to capture supposed paranormal activity. See the attached photo or for a video example you can go to http:// /Article.asp?PT=Lambert+and+Lindsey+Blog&id=299214 to see a video that was filmed with the camera at Waverly Hills Sanitorium in Louisville, Kentucky.
“Infrared energy is radiated by every living being and inanimate object in an amount proportional to its temperature. However, infrared energy is invisible to the human eye. That’s why infrared cameras serve such an important function; they translate infrared energy into easily perceivable visual images. VideoTherm cameras produce contrasting light and dark visual representations of the relative temperature differences between objects and their surroundings. The higher the temperature, the brighter the image. In addition, the VideoTherm 96 includes an integrated visual camera to allow for the simultaneous display of standard images with infrared images. VideoTherm infrared cameras are designed to display thermal patterns in the 8-14 micron range of the infrared spectrum. This translates to temperatures from -20◦ F to +2500◦ F; a range more than adequate to handle the needs of most infrared camera users.

The VideoTherm 96 is a portable, lightweight infrared imaging system with something extra—a built in visible camera. This integrated camera makes documentation and interpretation complete and accurate. Get rid of that 35mm or Polaroid camera you’ve been carrying along to take photos in the field. You wont need it anymore with the VideoTherm 96. Along with the built in visible camera, the VideoTherm 96 is complete with a full array of efficient features. On-screen graphics. Video and audio documentation capabilities. Low maintenance and energy requirements. And high resolution images. All this and more in an easy-to-use, lightweight infrared imaging system that is reasonably priced.
The special effects generator on the VideoTherm 96 makes it possible to combine visual and infrared images in a variable split screen format. Simple controls make it easy. Wipe starting from any corner of the screen or from the center. Fade from visual to infrared while overlaying the images. Swap the visual with the IR portion of the picture. You decide. The on-screen graphics menu and joystick control give you the power to choose or change your mind. Quickly and easily.
