3 Dual-Element Type S ThermoCouples
Type S thermocouples have a Platinum/10% Rhodium vs Platinum junction and have a temperature range of about 0 degrees C to 1350 degrees C. The precious metal content makes this type of thermocouple rather expensive at about 12 times the cost of a single type K thermocouple for a dual element thermocouple (as these are) plus the cost of the sheath.
Each of these sheathed thermocouples has an exposed measuring junction for a fast response to temperature changes, and are 4 inches long with 6" leads terminated in an Omega Type S male connector.
These three thermocouples come with 4 sets of connecting wire for both elements of the thermocouple. One set of wires uses one half of each thermocouple as a thermopile connecting three thermocouples in series, while the other three sets connect to the other half of each thermocouple. The Omega connectors are all rated for these Type S Thermocouples, and the wire appears to be ANSI compensating cable.
Note that the controller needs to be able to accept Type S thermocouples.
These are used thermocouples, and I do not know what the brand is as there is no identification on them. The wire size on the thermocouples appears to be about 0.020". These were checked only for continuity and no other testing was done.
