The item for sale is a Superficial Newage Versitron. The Versitron is a very accurate and quick machine unaffected by dirt, oil, or vibration, while still conforming to A.S.T.M. E-18. Other manufacturers have tried to make a machine that does what this one does, but with little to no avail. This tester has the ability to "clamp" pieces, large and small, in and hold them still while performing the test. This is done through test-surface referencing. Because of their speed and tolerances to dirt and oil they are commonly found in companies that do large numbers of tests to companies that typically have harsher enviroments. This test head has the ability to test on the following superficial hardness scales: 15N, 30N, 45N, 15T, 30T, 45T, etc... The base of the tester is a conventional "N" base test stand. The stand has the clamping capability, heavyduty elevating screw. The Vertical capacity is 8.5", and the Horizontal capacity is 8.5". This versitron comes with the following accesories: power cord, 1 new "N" Scale diamond penetrator with certification, 4 anvils(spot, small V, large V, flat), load locking mechanism, clamping shield, 1/16" ball penetrator, 1/16" t/c ball penetrator with cert., standard shroud, 2 allen wrenches, operators manual, lock-out for elevating unit, and 2 new testblocks with certifications.
