This fine piece of machinery was manufactured in the late 1800's by the Western Un. Telegraph Company. It is a morse relay sounder. It's measurements are 8" x 5". It is in excellent condition for its age. It has a cast iron base with an oak block on top. The parts seem to be brass. There is an inscription etched into the bottom "L.E.C." The Western Un. Company was known for its telegraphs working for the railroad companies. This piece is extremely collectible for anyone interested in the railroads or morse/telegraph machinery. *********************************************** (please look at our rules and privacy policy) |
