VINTAGE FLOATING DAIRY & MILK COOLING MERCURY THERMOMETER
ca. 1953. this floating dairy mercury thermometer was manufactured by the OHIO THERMOMETER CO., SPRINGFIELD, OHIO. It was designed to be placed in the milk holding/cooling tanks on the farm awaiting transport to the dairy manufacturers. There is a ring or hole in the top of the thermometer for a lanyard to attach. The thermometer is in excellent working condition. It is a large thermometer measuring 9 1/2 inches long and measures a range of temperature from -30 degrees F to 250 degrees F. It comes in its original package/tube. There is a red top missing off of one end of this package/tube. Don't miss this piece of agricultural/dairy memorabilia. Of course you could also use this thermometer in MANY applications to measure liquid temperatures as well.
