HP / Agilent 16700A Series Logic Analyzer with modules This is a web-enabled HP 16702A mainframe with 3 16557D analyzer cards (135MHz state, 500MHz timing) and 2 16610A emulation modules. Fully functional except front display. Must be used with external VGA monitor and standard PC keyboard and mouse (PS/2 connectors) or via networked Web interface. This makes it equivalent to 16700A model that has no built-in display. (Built-in display lights up but has a hard time displaying anything). HP 16700-series analyzers are fully functional HP-UX computers with 150MHz RISC CPU and all the connectivity and services (Ethernet, SCSI, multi-user, Web, FTP, print etc.) Folder /hplogic/etc contains a licence.dat file that apparently contains a "checked-out" license for Code Correlation software. However, this license shows up only if logged in as "root". It's up to you if you can make this license show up for non-root users. This unit has Option 3 ("Performance") installed, which includes max RAM (160MB) and max video RAM (4MB). This allows to drive large-size PC display. * 3 16557D analyzer cards (135MHz state, 500MHz timing) installed in master-expansion configuration - see pictures. * 2 16610A emulation modules installed * A CD with latest version of Agilent software for 16700 series analyzers (part number B3760-68743). Install it if you like, or use already installed older version. External SCSI CD-ROM drive would be needed for installation (CDROM drive not included). * User name and password with admin privileges will be provided in the package. Alternatively, you can always boot in a single-user mode to configure accounts. * cables or probes are not included * keyboard, mouse and monitor are not included This is a used item. Great cosmetic condition. Passed all the self-tests that can be found in the menus - please, see pictures below. Tests were run with external monitor (see screenshots), mouse and keyboard, no other cables attached. Computer works great, no problems whatsoever as far as I can tell. CMOS battery may need changing, so - no guarantees about battery condition. You can add other modules like this reasonably priced oscilloscope to obtain a great value from this instument. (The link to oscilloscope is only an example, I do not endorse it or any other item. It is up to you to determine compatibility and fitness of any item for a particular purpose).
