THIS IS A SOLID STATE QUINTRON MODEL 100B PAGING TRANSMITTER. IT RUNS ON 120VAC or 220VAC AND PUTS OUT 100 WATTS AND IS MADE FOR STANDARED 19" RACK MOUNTING. It has a 12 volt input for battery backup. The amp needs an external 152.84 MHz signal. The amp has 3 boards for the RF signal. The first board is an RF amplifier board with a crystal filter, which is driven externally by a 10 millawatt (10 dBM) signal . On this board, the crystal filter drives two MMIC's, which drive a 1or 2 watt transistor. The crystal filter can be bypassed and it can be driven at the 10 MW level at 2 meters or at other high band frequencies. Since it is a simple board with the filter and 2 MMIC'c in the first stages, you really don't need a schematic to figure it out. The output of the first board drives a 2 stage board with power transisistors, producing about 20 - 30 watts. The second board drives the pair of PA transistors on the PA board to 100 watts output. The 100 WATT AMP CAN BE DRIVEN AT MORE THAN ONE POWER LEVEL. The pair of final transistors can be driven by a 20 - 30 watt exciter, or the two stage intermediate amplifier can be driven by a 1 or 2 watt exciter. Of course, the first stage is driven externally by 10 millawatts. The various stages are conected by coax connectors internally and you can connect drive at any of the drive level stages. The amp is in good used condition. IT HAS BEEN TESTED AND IT WORKS - FOR 10 MILLAWATTS INPUT IT WILL PUT OUT 100 WATTS. The amp alone weighs about 50 pounds.
