Raise strong, clean, saleable fleeces! Matilda Fleece Covers offer you an easy way to raise the high dollar fleeces that hand spinners are looking for. If you use your fleece yourself, try them. You'll never want to work with an uncovered fleece again. We have been using these covers for more than 3 years on our Jacob sheep (yes, they work with the horns!), colored angora goats and llamas. The animals wear them year-around. They seem to keep the animals cooler and more comfortable in our extreme summer heat. They make me more comfortable after shearing. To figure size, there are two ways to measure your animal either from the center of the chest to the back of the hind leg (like measuring a horse for a blanket), use that measurement, or if it is easier, measure from the base of the neck, where the neck meets the back, to the dock of the tail (where the tail meets the body.
